Kaczmarczyk, Joseph John Jr. age 72, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
He was a graduate of Salesianum High School in Wilmington, DE in 1965. Joseph served as an aircraft instrument repairman in the Army National Guard of Delaware from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1971 as a decorated Corporal. While in service he received an Expert Medal Rifle M-14 and a Medal for Service in aid to Civil Authority. Joseph spent his professional career working as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer designing control systems for chemical processing plants for the DuPont company. He was a passionate mentor and friend to many colleagues. He was an active member of the Instrument Society of America throughout his career. Joseph loved automobiles and enjoyed home building and remodeling, which he continued to actively pursue until the time of his passing.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Josephine Kaczmarczyk and his brother George Kazcmarczyk.
He is survived by his beloved, Barbara E. Kaczmarczyk; step-daughter, Susan Nych of King of Prussia, PA; step-son, Brian Work of Dawsonville, GA; Sister Elaine Brockson and Brother-in-law Robert Brockson of Tavernier, FL; Sister Silvia Davis of Miton, DE; 5 grandsons, Andrew, Kyle, Zachary, Ryan and Benjamin and 2 great-grandsons, Nolan and Henry; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2019 at Sawnee View Gardens, 1390 Dahlonega Hwy., Cumming, GA 30040. If desired, friends may make a memorial contribution to The Place of Forsyth, 2550 The Place Circle, Cumming, GA 30040.
