James Thomas Brawner

Mr. James Thomas “Stem” Brawner, age 75, of Maysville, GA died Sunday, December 01, 2019 at his residence.  Mr. Brawner was born in Carnesville to Dorothy Whitsel Brawner of Commerce and the late Roy Brawner.  He was retired from Allen B. Sibley Mills.  In addition to his father, Mr. Brawner was preceded in death by his son Scott Brawner.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Brawner is survived by his wife, Judy Elaine Lord Brawner of Maysville; sons, Greg Shore of Nicholson and Gene Shore of Commerce; sisters, Barbara Barry of Athens and Maggie Craddock of Carnesville; brother, Ben Brawner of Commerce; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, December 3 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Burt officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 PM.
