Chip Robinson

Chip Robinson, 63, of Buford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 28, 2019 after a valiant 14-month battle of pancreatic cancer. Chip was born on August 21, 1956 in Sweetwater, Tennessee, to Flora Turpin and Curtis Decatur Robinson. He was a 1974 graduate of Berkmar High School in Lilburn, GA, where he excelled in baseball and played basketball. Chip made a career of selling building materials for new homes. The last 27 years were spent with Magbee Contractors Supply in Winder, GA.

Chip will be remembered as a wonderful son, husband, dad, Pappy and most of all friend. He thrived on his friends and was always the one to get everyone together. Most recently, he and Debbie hosted a 43^rd anniversary party where they were joined by friends from all walks of their marriage. Family meant everything to Chip. He was so proud of his daughter Brooke, her husband Jay and their children, Haynes and James.

Chip was predeceased by his Mom and Dad. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Nichols Robinson; his daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Jay Bates; grandchildren, Haynes and James Bates; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christine and Frank Nichols; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jenny and Tim Bailey; nephew, Nick Bailey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 1pm to 3pm at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3pm in the Chapel. Brother-in-law, Tim Bailey will officiate.
