Betty Mackenzie, age 84 of Dacula, GA, died Monday, November 25, 2019. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Art Mackenzie, Sr.; grandson, Jason Casper; brothers, James Carter, Harold Carter, David Carter, Milton Carter; sister, Mary Carter Cash. She is survived by her son, Art Mackenzie, Jr., Jefferson; daughter, Theresa Casper and husband Terry, Jefferson; granddaughter, Jennifer Lockman and husband Timothy, Jefferson; great granddaughters, Brook and Scarlytt Lockman. Betty was born in McDonough, GA and worked as a supervisor for Loveable Company in Buford. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford where she was a long-time choir member.
