Margaret Purcell Holcomb Pierce

Margaret Purcell Holcomb Pierce, 80, of Lula passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Whitehall Baptist Church with Rev. James Campbell and Rev. Casey Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral home on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on July 7, 1939 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Tom Henry and Ollie Mae Eller Holcomb. She was a retired cook at New Horizons West and a member of Whitehall Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her sisters, Mozelle Parks and Mary Lee Pettit.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim Pierce of Lula; sister, Sue Nix of Demorest; sister and brother in law, Georgia and Charles Gee of Danielsville;  children, Gloria Smith of SC, Roger Pierce (Karla) of Lula, Darryl Pierce (Trisha) of Lula, Dwight Pierce (Kathy) of FL, Terry Pierce (Debbie) of Homer, Wendy Pierce of Lula; grandchildren, Misty Crawford, Adam Garrish, Jason Garrish, Amy Smith, Joel Smith, Jeremy Pierce, Amanda Pierce, Tony Pierce, Duncan Pierce; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
