Darrell Welborn

Darrell A. Welborn, age 67 of Habersham County, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida on August 9, 1952, Mr. Welborn was the son of Mary Hoppenbrouwer Lindsay and the late Major Bill Welborn.  Mr. Welborn graduated from North Habersham High School and he was a United States Army Veteran. He was a self employed block mason for over 35 years and an avid NASCAR and Georgia Bulldogs fan.  In addition to his father, Mr. Welborn is preceded in death by brother Kenneth Welborn.

Survivors include his mother and step father Mary and Bill Lindsay of Troy, Alabama, son Eric Welborn (Heather) of Cornelia, daughter Laura Waters of Mt. Airy, brother Bill Welborn of Hollywood, best friend and caregiver Stephanie Snow of Clarkesville, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a time of remembrance and visitation on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel.
