Nicolai “Nico” Jay Simon

Nicolai “Nico” Jay Simon, age 19, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville.  Father Victor Galier and Brian Higgins will concelebrate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Nico was born January 4, 2000 in Gainesville to Lawrence Victor Simon and Terri Wooten Simon.  A GED graduate of West Technical College, he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Franklin, Georgia and an Apprentice Electrician with Southern Fire & Controls Inc.  Nico loved golfing with his great uncle Buddy, fishing, camping and gaming.

Nico is survived by his father, Larry Simon of Gainesville; mother, Terri Simon of Flowery Branch; paternal grandfather, Daniel J. Simon of Gainesville; and maternal grandparents, Lloyd & Gale Elmore of Hogansville.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Simon and paternal grandmother, Eleanor Simon.
