Patricia Louise (Vasialka) LaFrance

Patricia Louise (Vasialka) LaFrance, of Oakwood, GA, passed away at the age of 58, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, North Tower, in Gainesville, GA, on Saturday, October 26, 2019. She passed peacefully after losing her battle to a long illness.

“Tricia”, as she was known by those who loved her, was born in Brockton, MA, the daughter of Edward and Vera Vasialka, who came to this country from Lithuania.  She was the third of four-daughters.  In 2007, Tricia decided to settle in Georgia and lived there for 10 years.

Tricia was educated in the Brockton Public School system. Taking after her parents, Tricia was a conscientious, committed and hard-working person.  She often worked several jobs at a time.  She held a variety of jobs in food service and retail. Eventually, Tricia earned her certificate in Medical Assisting from Massasoit Community College. She was a very competent employee and was a quick learner to anything new.

Tricia leaves a son, Phillip E. Vasialka and his wife Sherine Shahvali of East Bridgewater, two grandchildren Genevieve and Luciano of East Bridgewater.  She also leaves three sisters, Giselle Vasialka of Norton, MA, Veronica Vasialka of Attleboro, MA, Francine Fisher, Norton, MA along with two nephews, Adam Fisher of Nashua, NH and Kevin Fisher of Derry, NH.  She also left behind her dear friend and companion, Paul Irizarry of Oakwood, GA and her beloved Chihuahua, “CoCo Chanel”.  Tricia was predeceased by her parents, father Edward Vasialka, May 8, 1996 and her mother Vera (Valaitis) Vasialka, May 21, 2013. Tricia was formerly married to Richard W. LaFrance, deceased October 31, 2008.
