Mrs. Lynda Colby Connor, age 80, of Hoschton, formerly of Roswell, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her residence, under the care of Hospice of Northeast Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Craig McAdams and Richard Biggs will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
A native of Atlanta, she was born on August 7, 1937 and the daughter of the late Robert L. & Grace Colby. Lynda was a member of Browns Bridge Church and was a 1957 graduate of Brown High School. She was employed by Alexander & Alexander, Georgia Coated Fabrics and Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Roswell for 24 years as a Customer Service Representative.
Mrs. Connor is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles Robert (Bob) Connor, Jr. of Hoschton; son David Robert (Rob) Berkhan of Atlanta; sister Rae Hobgood (Claude) of McDonough; nieces, Claudia Tibbetts (Mark) of Gainesville and Jodi Brewer (Wade) of Locus Grove; and a number great-nieces & great-nephews around metropolitan Atlanta. She had numerous loyal friends due to her giving heart and wonderful smile that people never forget.
