Johnny Dave Scott

Mr. Johnny Dave Scott, age 63 of Chopped Oak Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late Marvin and Hazel Jenkins Scott, he was born May 5, 1956 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Stephens and Habersham Counties all his life. He was a graduate of Piedmont College and North Georgia Tech, a retired truck driver and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Scott.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Shirley Walker Scott; five sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny D. Scott, II of Toccoa, Josh and Brooke Scott of Savannah, Georgia, Jason and Crystal Norris and Clarence Lee Norris both of Toccoa and Bruce Shriver of the home; eight grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Nancy Scott of Toccoa; sister, Barbara Willis of Toccoa; mother-in-law, Betty Walker of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 31, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Chopped Oak Baptist Church with the Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Johnny D. Scott, II, Josh Scott, Jason Norris, Clarence Norris, Dominic Norris and Bryson Norris.

The family will be at the home on Chopped Oak Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Johnny Dave Scott.
