Millie Ona Childers

Millie Ona Childers, age 88, passed away peacefully the evening of October 23, 2019.  Millie was born October 21, 1931 in Union County, Georgia to Howard Pat Higdon and Martha Stiles Higdon.  She married Leonard Claine Childers July 12, 1951 who preceded her in death in 2001.

Millie is survived by her sisters, Gladys Addington, Alline Maddox and Patsy Kirk; her brother-in-law, Willis Cassel; her son, Lynn Childers and her daughter and son-in-law, Kay & Allen Money; her three grandchildren, Amanda Money Peterson and her spouse, Matt Peterson, Amy Childers DeBaker & her spouse Jason DeBaker, and Megan LeAnne Money.  Millie is also survived by four Great Grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be Friday evening, October 25, 2019 at Ingram’s Funeral Home & Crematory located at 210 Ingram Avenue in downtown Cumming, GA between 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. then again Saturday morning, October 26, 2019 between 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  A Memorial is planned to celebrate her life Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.  All who wish to attend are welcome.

Millie’s family wishes to acknowledge, with great appreciation and gratitude, all of the wonderful people who helped care for Millie over the last few weeks.  Your support, love and kindness was, and continues to be, an incredible and beautiful gift.
