Hyun “Jonathon” Kim

Obituary Date: Friday, October 18, 2019

Hyun “Jonathon” Kim passed away on October 18th, 2019 in his residence in Suwanee, GA.
Jonathon was born on June 19th, 1969 to Peter and Lilly Kim in Seoul, Korea. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1974. In his early years he resided in Fort Lee, New Jersey where he met and later married Rosemary Kim.
His charismatic smile was known to light up a room, everywhere he went he knew someone,
and if he did not, he made it his goal to meet and make friends with everyone. Jonathon had a way about him that made anyone he was talking to feel like they were the most important
person in the world. Everyone who met him always knew that no matter what, Jonathon was
there for them. He truly served the needs of others and our Lord before his own.

Over the years, many honors and awards were bestowed upon Jonathon. Most notable he was elected President of the New York Korean-American Jaycees where he received special
recognition and proclamations from former US Senator Frank R. Lautenberg and New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.

Jonathon is survived by his wife Rosemary Kim and their two sons Joshua Franklin Kim and
Nicholas Matthew Kim.

Our visitation time of gathering and remembrance will be on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm the McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA.
