Fred Griffith, of Cumming, Georgia, our beloved husband, father, and PaPa left us suddenly on Friday, October 18, 2019. The skies lit up at sunset, which felt like a sign to all of us. Fred grew up on a farm in western Missouri and graduated from Adrian High School Adrian, MO in 1965. He received a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, KS. Immediately after graduation he was hired by United Parcel Service. Over a 29 year career with UPS Fred continued to advance in a variety of engineering positions. His assignments included both domestic and international projects. Upon retirement Fred enjoyed his family and all their activities - traveling domestically and internationally, golfing with his buddies, boating, fishing, wood-working, and daily trips to The Home Depot for various home projects. He also always made sure his yard was the pride of the neighborhood. He will be remembered and missed by his wife of 49 years Martha “Marty” Griffith; daughter and son-in-law Amy and Scott Evans, of Roswell, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law Chad and Chris Griffith, of Dunwoody, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law Harvey and Rita Griffith, of Butler, Missouri; grandchildren Colleen Evans, Conner Evans, Cole Griffith, Aaron Griffith, Corey Griffith. Brother-in-law Larry Gregg and wife Lu, Sister-in-law Mary Ravenscroft, Sister-in-law Debi Gregg and Brother-in-law John Belmonte, Sister-in-law Carol Gregg and many, much-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. His canine buddy Owen is also missing him. Fred’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 in Adrian, Missouri.
