James Charles Grant

James Charles Grant, age 72, of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2019.

Mr. Grant was born on August 24, 1947 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late J.C. and Tonnie Lillian Keesler Grant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Anthony Grant. Mr. Grant worked for BI-LO Supermarket as an Assistant Grocery Bagger for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith. James loved living life and loved people, but most of all he LOVED the Lord. He was an avid sports fan, he loved collecting jerseys.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Mickey Watkins, of Cornelia; sister, Alice Kay Grant, of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Preacher Marty Kilby officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
