Martha Lucille Richey Fowler

Mrs. Martha Lucille Richey Fowler, age 91 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Habersham Home East, Demorest, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Sam and Hortense Camp Richey, she was born December 25, 1927 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was retired from Coats and Clark and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. “Bill” Fowler in 2012, by two sons, Richard Fowler Almon Fowler and by a daughter, Linda Partain.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon and Brad Wheeler of Lavonia and Elaine Fowler of Carnesville; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sandra Fowler of Toccoa and Johnny and Wanda Fowler of Eastanollee; thirteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Lib Powell of Greer, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2019, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Albert Hudson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bryan Fowler, William Fowler, Gary Murray, Joe Gibby, Bryson Fowler and Andrew Cagle.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service time.

Flowers are to be omitted. Memorials may be made in her memory to Liberty Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 1766, Toccoa, Georgia 30577.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Martha Lucille Richey Fowler.
