Phillip Lee Church

Phillip Lee Church, age 73, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Church was born in Demorest, GA on May 7, 1946, to the late Aubrey and Sallie Lou Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Church and a brother-in-law, Morris Williams.

Mr. Church was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a farmer and retired sawmiller.

Survivors include: step-daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Kevin Addis, Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Carolyn Williams, Demorest, GA, sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne and David Chamberlin, Gainesville, GA, Janet and Jerry Taylor, Demorest, GA and sister-in-law, Linda Church, Demorest, GA; two grandchildren, Kaiti Addis and Rhett Addis. Twelve nieces and nephews also survive as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, October 18, 2019, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the memorial service hour on Friday.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
