Harold Gaines

Harold C. Gaines, 85, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Baker and Rev. Hoyt Winkler will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on April 30, 1934 in Gainesville, Ga Mr. Gaines was the son of the late Auburn C. and Mary Garrett Gaines.  Mr. Gaines was retired from the Hall County Public Works Department. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gaines is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Gaines; brother, Britt Gaines and sister, Virginia Short.

Mr. Gaines is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Linda Dianne and Michael Buice of Flowery Branch, Mary Deneen and Hoyt Winkler of Cleveland; granddaughter, Cierra Paige Winkler; grandsons, Preston Michael Buice, Cullen Brett Winkler; sister and brother in law, Doris and Billy Merritt of Flowery Branch; brother in law, Howard Short of Snellville and a number of other relatives.
