Ruthel Harper

Mrs. Ruthel Harper, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the residence of her granddaughter following an extended illness.  

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend James Hatcher and Reverend Jason Ladd will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2019 and Friday, October 11, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harper was born November 30, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late James R. Temples and Irene Haygood Temples.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  Ruthel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Howard Harper and her brother, James D. Temples.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her children, Johnny Harper, Brenda Harper, Linda (Bradley) Flannigan, Sandra (Glenn) Brantley, Wanda Rider and James Harper, all of Gainesville, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Nancy Crane of Stockbridge, Georgia and sister-in-law, Wanda Temples of Stockbridge, Georgia.
