Dora Virginia Harrison Collins

Dora Virginia Harrison Collins, 83, of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Bell Minor Home following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Whitlock and Pastor Carol Pruitt will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on July 1, 1936 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Margaret Cochran Harrison. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elliott; brother, James Harrison and son, Randy Monda.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her son, Leonard Collins (Karen); daughter, Ann Whitlock (Ricky); son, Scott Collins (Audrey); sister, Marie Brewer; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren all of Gainesville.
