Ricky Jerry Tallant

Ricky Jerry Tallant, 65, a life-long resident of Cumming passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Ricky was a gentle soul with a big heart, always doing for others before himself. He was a loving husband, a great father and an exceptional grandfather. He loved hunting, fishing and having animals, especially chickens and goats. Ricky looked forward to the annual Cumming Fair and was an ever-present figure at the Indian Village there.  He spent his working career with Peachtree Doors and Windows. Ricky is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Anthony Tallant.

Survivors include his wife and constant companion of 42 years, Diane Tallant; a daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Rick Dowling; grandchildren, Makenna and Tucker; father, Anderson (Josey) Tallant; mother, Helen (Sidney) Potts; sisters, Barbara (Steve) Pitts, Donna (Leon) Cruse, Karon Tallant, Vera Blanchard, Vickie (Fabian) Howard, Cathy Blanchard; a brother, Johnny Blanchard; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and so many friends.

A Celebration of Ricky’s life will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, October 13, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
