Lois Porter

Mrs. Lois Mooney Porter, age 88 of Lula died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Willow Wood Nursing Home.  Mrs. Porter was born in Ellijay to the late, Delmar and Ollie Stover Cochran. Mrs. Porter was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter was also preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Mooney; brothers, Leonard and Phillip Cochran.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband, Curtis Lamar Porter of Lula; sons, David Mooney of Carnesville and Sammy Mooney of Auburn; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Lessie Clayton of Buford, Della Oliver of Buford, Stella Tankersley of Crandle, GA, and Veda Payne of Cumming; 3 step daughters, 6 step grandchildren, and 9 step great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 10th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Hart officiating with the interment following at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
