Betty Sue Adams English

Mrs. Betty Sue Adams English, age 85 of Talmadge Drive Toccoa, passed away Saturday October 5, 2019 at Habersham Home West.

A daughter of the late Grady J. and Flora Ellen Whitley Adams, she was born October 20, 1933 in Pendleton, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Habersham County, Georgia. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She assisted her husband at Ed’s Bar-b-que. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward English in 1998, by a daughter, Melinda Raxter in 1996 and by a sister, Ruth Moore.

Survivors include two daughters, Lelanda Davis of Jacksonville, Florida and Phyllis Giaquinta of Demorest, Georgia; granddaughter, Kayla and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Mize officiating.

The family will be at the home on Talmadge Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from noon until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Sue Adams English.
