Raymond Moore

Mr. Raymond Walter Moore, age 77, of Athens, GA died Friday, October 04, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Moore was born in Jefferson to the late Mell and Grace Miller Moore.  He was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Gold Kist. 

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Carol Lavern Morgan Moore of Athens; son, Johnny Moore of Hartwell; sisters, Barbara Lane of Athens, Patricia Wages of Monroe and Mary Willoughby of Nicholson; brothers, Thomas Moore of Athens, Johnny Moore of Nicholson, Paul Moore of Athens and Cecil Moore of Nicholson; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, October 7 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Stowers officiating.  Interment will follow in Nicholson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 8 PM.
