Shirley Ann Wilkie

Shirley Ann Wilkie, age 82, of Ball Ground, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 3, 2019.  Shirley was born in 1937, to the late Claude and Lourie Mae Cox. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Shirley and her husband, Doyle served as a part of the Gideons for 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking. She will be missed dearly.  

She is survived by her loving husband, Doyle “Donald” Wilkie; children, Jeff(Donna) Wilkie, and John (Aimee) Wilkie; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Caleb, and Luke Wilkie; siblings, Claudia Orr, Bobbie McGaha, Winton (Sarah) Cox, Sue (Hoyt) Yother, and Margie (Jimmy) Phillips; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Wilkie; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilkie will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA, with Rev. Jeff Wilkie, Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Lee Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
