Ronnie Ray Joy

Ronnie Ray Joy age 72 of Gainesville passed away Sunday Sept. 22, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Joy was born March 5, 1947 in Gainesville to the late James Edward & Edith Medlin Joy. He was the owner & operator of Ronnie Joy General Maintenance. He served his Country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Danny Joy and Michael Joy. 

Survivors include, his wife Gaynelle Joy, sons & daughters in law; Dewayne and Julie Joy, Dwight and Sue Joy and son Scott Holbert; brothers Jimmy Joy, Randy Joy and Billy Joy, sisters; Linda Cantrell, Jamie Phillips, Karen Allison, Cindy Moses, Robin Smith, grandchildren; Alyssa Joy, Jackson Joy, Emma Joy, Hunter Holland, Noah Joy, Owen Joy, Silas Joy, and Scotty Holbert.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday Sept. 25, 2019 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Joy & Mr. Dewayne Joy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday September 24, 2019 at the funeral home.
