Mrs. Joyce Ivester Trowman, age 72 of Stonewood Forest Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at her residence.
A daughter of Emma Weaver Ivester and the late Ralph Ivester, she was born October 18, 1947 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived all of her life in Stephens County. She was employed with Wal-Mart for nine years and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Trowman in 2009 and by a son, Dale Wood.
Survivors include her mother, Emma Weaver Ivester of Toccoa; daughter, Wendy Holbrooks and William Mize of Toccoa and Teresa Edmonds and David Gudger of Habersham County; son, Jeffery Trowman and Bradi Dove of Toccoa; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Dustin, Jessica, Stephen, Megan, Patrick, Wesley, Kayden and Brantley; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammy Ivester of Toccoa and Jerry Ivester of Canon; two sisters, Carolyn Bobbitt of Eastanollee and Jan Ivester of Toccoa; niece and nephew, Pam and Barry Carter of Toccoa; several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019, 4 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Scooter Hunter, Dustin Holbrooks, Christopher Holbrooks, Chris Knapp, Barry Carter and Christian Knapp.
The family will be at the home on Stonewood Forest Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Joyce Ivester Trowman.
