Douglas “Doug” Chasteen

Douglas “Doug” Chasteen, age 70, of Gainesville, GA passed away.  Wednesday, September 11, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Ruth King Chastain; sister, Peggy Stephens.  Mr. Chasteen is survived by his children, Lisa Bruce, Buford, GA, Jaine and David Adams, Gainesville, GA, Jessica Chasteen and Robert, Braselton, GA, Margaret and James Risner; grandchildren, Kelsey Bruce, Bryson Slade, Haley Adams, Brielle Slade; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Dan Turpin, Lavonia, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy and Cheryl Chasteen, Athens, GA, Jerry Chasteen, Athens, GA; Step-daughter, Rebecca Etheridge, Conyers, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Chasteen was born August 15, 1949 in Lavonia, GA.  He was a 1967 graduate of Chamblee High School, Chamblee, GA.  Mr. Chasteen was a retired supervisor in the home improvement industry.  A private family service will be held later for family members.
