Tania Harris

Tania Harris, a loving wife and phenomenal mother of 3, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back on September 13, 2013.  This was discovered through a normal colonoscopy at age 42. She passed away at the age of 47 in Cumming, Georgia.

Tania and her husband John Charles Harris were high school sweethearts, had been together since 1987 when they went on their first date to Young Life.  They got engaged at the Sugar Bowl of Florida's first National Championship in 1997 and married later that year at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.  Their kids, Jordyn attends Toccoa Falls College and Kohl & Trysta both attend South Forsyth, are the center of their world and having to tell them about mom on Aug. 14 was incredibly tough but not near as tough as the conversation on Sept. 9.

She is also survived by her parents: Corene and Fred Whitmer of Valhermosa Springs, AL; siblings: Renee Wenzler of Decatur, AL, Jim Whitmer of Valhermosa Springs, AL and Courtney Whitmer of Cumming, GA; and several aunts and uncles.

Tania was an Executive Assistant to Romaine Seguin, UPS President of Global Freight Forwarding. It was Tania's undeterred Faith that kept her Party of 5 moving forward with her guidance until her death.

Visitation will be at Browns Bridge Church on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 9:00am until service time at 11:00am.
