Douglas "Doug" Barrett

Douglas "Doug" Barrett, age 63 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1 to 3 PM with a memorial service following in the Chapel at 3 PM. Doug is preceded in death by his parents William Spencer and Betty Virginia (Parks) Barrett and brother Tim Barrett. Doug is survived by his wife of 34 years Eleanor Barrett; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Kelly Barrett, of Talking Rock, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law David and Patricia Barrett, of Canton, Georgia; sister Beth Moss, of Cumming, Georgia; grandsons Avery Barrett and Billy Barrett, sister-in-law Jeannie Barrett of Tulsa, Oklahoma, mother-in-law Vicki H Sanderson of Dahlonega, Georgia, Step-Mother Maxine Barrett of Commerce, Georgia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Sarah Sanderson of Roswell, Georgia; nieces and nephews Dave Barrett, Michael Barrett, Brian Barrett, Paul Moss, Lindsey Moss Castleberry, Billie Barrett E. Silva, Carlin Sanderson, Natalie Sanderson and Mitchell Sanderson. Doug loved his family and friends, fishing, sports, playing guitar the beach and he was the "Grill Master". In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doug's name to American Cancer Society.
