Troy Joe Turner

Troy Joe Turner, 76, of Cumming passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019.  Troy was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.  He retired from Lucent Technologies and enjoyed fishing and hunting for yard sales. Troy was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Toy and Eulene Turner and his brother, Powell Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janet Cox Turner; a daughter, Tanya Turner (Scott) Wallace; grandchildren, Madison, Cameron and Alicia; brother, Rex Turner; sister, Janie (Fred) Willis; sister-in-law, Joan Melton; nieces, Gail (Dennis) Gravitt, Gloria (Bill) Taylor, Tina (David) Brown; and a number of other relatives

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Dusty Mathis officiating.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
