Danny Milton Church

Funeral services for Danny Milton Church, age 68 of Clarkesville, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Pastor Scott Crook will officiate with interment to follow the service in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 28th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Church passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at Northside Hospital.

Born in Toccoa, Georgia on October 13, 1950, Mr. Church was the son of the late Alfred Milton and Lillie Dell Sims Church.  He was a Georgia Army National Guard veteran and was a self employed poultry farmer for Fieldale Farms, Inc.  Mr. Church was a member of Clarkesville United Methodist Church and he enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and spending time with his loving family.

Survivors include his wife Darlena Whitmire Church of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Kevin and Tonya Wright Church of Clarkesville, daughter and son in law Kelly C. and Adam Edwards of Flowery Branch, grandchildren Meredith and Emily Church and Connor Edwards, brother Alfred Michael “Mike” Church of Dahlonega, sister in law Lynn Sims of Clarkesville, sister in law and brother in law Joy and Charles Dixon of Clarkesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to: The Northside Hospital Foundation, Bone Marrow Transplant Fund, 1000 Johnson Ferry Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342-1611.
