On Thursday, August 22, 2019, Kenneth Jewel Anderson, loving husband and father of four children, passed away.
Mr. Anderson was born on May 9, 1955, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Lester and Hazel Smith Anderson. He worked as a truck driver for Lazer Spot and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Hulsey; brother-in-law, Delmar White.
Kenneth was a beloved partner and dear friend to his wife Margaret Elaine Cashman for over 45 years. He was kind, compassionate, hard-working, and fun-loving. Kenneth had a great sense of humor and always came armed with a funny story to tell. He had a passion for traveling and adventure and often took long motorcycle journeys with his friends and family. He also loved finding new “short cuts” and excursions along the way. Kenneth loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, particularly while playing marathon-long games of Monopoly. He was affectionately known by his 10 grandchildren as “Papa.” Kenneth will be desperately missed and will be remembered by his family for his love, guidance, provision, and willingness to help whenever help was needed.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Anderson, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lauren Anderson, Patrick and Catherine Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Josh Walden; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Anderson; grandchildren, Grace Anderson, Cooper Anderson , Cora Anderson, Natalie Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Hunter Walden, Tanner Walden, Camilla Anderson, Adalia Anderson, and Everett Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Brenda Anderson, and Royce and Carol Anderson; sisters, Mardell White, Teresa Johnson; brother, Nekervis Anderson; brother-in-law, Rondal Hulsey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the funeral service.
