Ms. Lois (Camp) Lytle entered this world on September 28, 1928 to her parents, the late Luke and Cora Camp in Winder, Georgia. She is preceded in death by 16 sisters and brothers and one son, Dr. Charles L. Robertson Jr., DMD. She transitioned very peacefully at home on August 15, 2019. A few years after her birth, the family moved to Gainesville, Georgia. Early in her life she graduated from Beulah Rucker Industrial School in Gainesville Georgia. After high school, she married the late Charles Leonard Robertson; after their divorce she married the late Harold James Lytle. She was an active member of St. Paul UMC in Gainesville and an active member of the Willing Workers and the Phi Lambda Zeta Sorority for Christian Women. In 1990 she moved to Markham, Illinois. As a strong, resilient, independent, selfless person she made many sacrifices to raise her children and grandchildren. With a great deal of affection, she was called Mymee (Mommie) by her family and so many others who loved her. During her lifetime she touched the lives and hearts of so many people with her kindness, thoughtfulness, and loving nature. She will be remembered for over 40 years of work as a beautician at Jackson Beauty Shop/Faye’s Salon de Coiffeur. She was very adept at “straightening and curling hair” with hot irons. She was also very creative and loved to do a variety of arts and crafts, sewing, Christmas ornaments, and quilting. Lois is survived by one sister, Mary Doris (Camp) Thomas and two sisters-in-law: Clarissa Camp and Mary Camp. She will forever be lovingly remembered by her children: Peggye Robertson Davenport, Anthony “Miller” Robertson (Janice), Barese “Doby” Lytle Watkins–Hope (L.O.), Elderick “Dinky” Lytle (Janice), Warrace A. Lytle (Xuemei). She will also be remembered by her grandchildren: LaRhonda Davenport, Shavonda Summerour, Kevin Ware, Takeda Hill, Jahlel Watkins, Bredron Lytle, Jarrett Lytle and Joshua Lytle. Furthermore, she has numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of family members and wonderful friends, who were blessed to know her.
