William Leonard Brown

William Leonard Brown, 79, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Drewery Loggins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on December 22, 1939 in McDuffie County, GA he was the son of the late James F. and Florene Lucille Reese Brown. He was retired from the United States Army.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Elouise Brown of Gainesville; sons, Anthony Helton, Glynn Helton, Ricky Helton; daughter, Angela Taylor; sister and brother in law, Vicky Toms (Robert) of Lawrenceville; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and all other children that called him papaw.
