Johnnie Farmer Simmons

Mrs. Johnnie Farmer Simmons age 94 of Toccoa passed away Thursday August 15, 2019 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Henry Lewis and Ona Walker Farmer, born in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all of her live. She was member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ladies Bible Class. She was a alter guild and a charter member of the Wesleyan Service Guild. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Howard Simmons and a sister Willie Cartwright.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Frank May of Lilburn, two grandchildren Valerie and Jeremy Roberts and Bryson and Colby Green, three great-grandchildren Parker Roberts, Lucy Grace Roberts and Caroline Catherine Green, six step-grandchildren and thirteen step- great grandchildren, sister Lou Lathan of Toccoa, half brothers and sisters-in-law Kenneth and Patricia Simmons of Newton, North Carolina and Larry and Nancy Simmons of Conover, North Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Brent White officiating. The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 P.M. til service time.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Steve Lathan, Chuck Way, Michael Crowe, Matthew Lathan, John P. Woodward and Jerry Snell.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens
