Clifford D. Barlowe

Clifford D. Barlowe, age 92, of Gainesville passed away Thursday August 15, 2019 at the Bell- Minor Home.

Mr. Barlowe was born Nov. 20, 1926 in Lumpkin County, GA to the late Wiley & Della Abercrombie Barlowe. Mr. Barlowe was a diesel mechanic at the Gainesville Mack Truck Center. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Thomas Barlowe.

Survivors include, daughter, Frieda (Rick) Barlowe Browning of Gainesville: son, Rev. Roland (Debbie) Barlowe of Ruskin, FL: daughter, Sandra (David) Barlowe Brown of Gainesville: grandchildren, Zach (Kylee) Barlowe, Rachel (Dave) Siglin, Katie (Lance) Gresham, Daniel (Andrea) Browning, Marybeth Browning, Nicholas Brown, great grandchildren, Ezra, Charlotte, Luci, Emma Lexi, Baylee & Randy.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday August 18, 2019 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland Barlowe & Rev. Rick Browning officiating. Burial will follow in The Edge Cemetery, formerly Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Saturday August 17, 2019 at the funeral home.
