Timothy Roger Buchanan

Timothy Roger Buchanan, 58, of Cumming, GA passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019. He is predeceased in death by his father; Stanley “Buck” Buchanan.

Tim is survived by his wife: Eva Buchanan of Cumming, GA; mother: Norma Buchanan of Lamar, MO; children: Katelyn Buchanan of Cumming, GA; step-daughters: Kelli Maddock of Arlington, VA; and Ashley Payne (Roger Payne II) of St. James, MO; sister: Cindy Buchanan of Lamar, MO; grandson: RJ Payne; and nephews and niece: Jeremy Buchanan, Aimee Rabb, and Jordan Thibideaux. Other survivors include Lynn Buchanan, and numerous friends and extended family members also survive.

Born in Lamar, Missouri on December 10, 1960.  Tim loved his first job as a paperboy and being part of Boy Scouts of America.  Tim graduated from Lamar High School in 1979 and attended college at SMSU (Missouri State University).

Tim worked in the restaurant business for nearly five years.  Tim entered his IT career in 1993, which included working for Lotus, Compaq, Cisco and HP.  Tim’s latest employment was with Nutanix (San Jose, CA) as Customer Satisfaction Manager.

Tim was an active member of the NRA.  Tim enjoyed golfing, gunsmithing and he was an avid reader.  Tim loved being around his family and friends; and, he treated his friends as family.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 3-4pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home at 4pm following the visitation.

Tim will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery in his hometown of Lamar, MO, on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 4pm.
