Nancy Carol Cole Scott

Nancy Carol Cole Scott, 75, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

A Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2019 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. David Simpson will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 29, 1943 in Carrollton, GA she was the daughter of the late Franklin Dorsey and Winnifred Mote Cole.  She was a homemaker and a member of Lanier Christian Church. She was a breast cancer survivor and active member of the American Cancer Society and Hall County Relay for Life for many years. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen O’niel Scott and son Stephen Gregory Scott.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son and daughter in law, Andy and Kelly Scott of Gainesville; sister, Janelle Cole Benson of Johns Creek; granddaughter, Macenzie Scott; grandson, Tyler Scott and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to American Cancer Society or to Hall County Relay for Life.
