Kenneth Carl "Earl" Lathan

Mr. Kenneth Carl “Earl” Lathan age 79 of Toccoa passed away Thursday August 8, 2019 at his residence.

A son of the late Clyde and Elsie Mae LaCount Lathan, he was born August 19, 1939 in Habersham County, having lived most of his life in Hart County and the last 30 years in Stephens County. Earl retired from Owens-Corning in Anderson, SC. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Brawner and by two sons Johnny and Keith Lathan.

Survivors include his wife of the home Louise Lathan of the home, grandchildren, Lance and Jennie Brawner, Morgan and Nathan Walker, Callie and Marcus Rogers all of Toccoa, GA, great grandchildren Austin Brawner, Keaton Brawner, Ransom Brawner, Lily Walker, Joel Walker, Kelsey Walker, Isaiah Walker, Brantley Rogers and Hudson Rogers, two sisters, Vera O’Barr and Frances Watkins both of Mr. Airy, three brothers, Everett Lathan,   and Roy Lathan both of Hartwell, GA and Cecil Lathan of Mt. Airy.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Wayne Marcus and Mr. Chris Thomas officiating.

The following will serve as pallbearers, Tim Brawner, Chad Lathan, Gary Watkins, Marcus Rogers, Lance Brawner and Nathan Walker.            

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, Hartwell, GA , with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Earl Lathan
