Willie D. Clark

Mr. Willie D Clark, 76, of Danville, Mississippi, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, in the hospital, in Cebu, Philippines.

Mr. Clark at age 20 joined the U.S Army, being deployed to Vietnam 3 times.

Willie was a double purple- heart recipient, amongst many more medals while serving his country, as a soldier in the United States Army.

Willie was released from active duty to retire, in 1982, after serving in the Army for 20 years.

After retirement from the Army, Willie started a career with GEICO, where he served and retired as a District Manager.

Willie loved reading and listening to music. His greatest joy in life was family, and traveling the world.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cloud Dan Clark and May Ida (Spankes) Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Deannese Clark (Garry Maxey) of Gainesville, GA, grandchild, Donte Maxey, and other friends.

A Memorial Service with full military honors is scheduled for 12:00 pm Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane Canton, GA 30114.
