Lewis B. Trotter

Lewis B. Trotter, age 89 of Demorest, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Born in Habersham County, Georgia on May 17, 1930 to the late Chester Terrell and Blanche Vandergriff Trotter. Mr. Trotter retired from Clarkesville Mills with 41 years of service. He was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church and enjoyed farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Nell Chamblee Trotter; sister, Bobby Jean Weaver.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Bill & Wanda Trotter, Terry & Lane Trotter and Rev. Kenneth & Wanda Trotter  all of Demorest; daughter, Sandra Trotter Sims of Demorest; grandchildren, Deborah Chitwood, Lori Tench, Amanda Howard, Josh Gibson, Jacob Gibson, Sonya Thomas, Jason Trotter, Jennifer Jude; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah, Brooke, Brianna, Blake, Katie, Victoria, Savannah, Kaitlin & Michaela; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Joe Trotter of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Harris Bowman, Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Marvin Brown all officiating. Interment will follow in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carl King officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Tuesday and from 12 noon until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
