Marvin Loyd Collins

Marvin Loyd Collins, age 77, of Winder, GA passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Sandra Skelton Collins, and daughter, Tina Collins. He is survived by his children, Sallie and Steven Seals, Auburn, GA, Tommy and Stella Collins, Kentucky, Mary Shedd, Clayton, GA, Gloria Franklin, Clayton, GA, Anthony Collins, Clayton, GA; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara and Arthur Mathis, Lawrenceville, GA, Georgia Collins Knipe, Ruby Collins Butler, Cumming, GA; brother, Claude and Eunice Collins, Clarksville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Collins was born on March 9, 1942 in Suwanee, GA. He was a retired dump truck driver. Mr. Collins was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery, Suwanee, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flanigan Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
