Mr. Glenn Dempsey Bellamy, age 91 of Elberton Street, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Brown Nursing Center, Royston, Georgia.
A son of the late Floyd and Alma Davis Bellamy, he was born February 14, 1928 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was retired from Coats and Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Holcomb Bellamy in 2012, brother, Frank Bellamy and by a sister, Grace Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Wayne Martin of Carnesville; grandson, Jonathan Martin; sister-in-law, Ruth Pitts and husband Jackson of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 2, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerry Chitwood officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jonathan Martin, Brian Pitts, Terry Metcalfe, Gary Haygood, Allen Turpin and Gary Jones.
