Mrs. Ruby Doris Peyton Andrews, age 91 of Ward Circle, Toccoa passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Enos and Lula Payne Peyton, she was born April 22, 1928 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was a member of the Lamar Christian Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Andrews in 2011, grandson, Marty Crump, sister, Florrie Forrester and by three brothers, Frank, Lloyd and Bruce Peyton.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Greg Waldrop, Louise and Jimmy Hicks and Joan and Max Brown all of Toccoa; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Catherine Wilbanks of Alto; sister-in-law, Joyce Peyton of Alto; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 2, 2019, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Andy Childs officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Chuck Kelley, Chance Thomas, Rodney Crump, Mark Brown, Brent Brown and Jay Franklin.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ruby Doris Peyton Andrews.
