Mrs. Ollie Mae Simpson Holcomb, age 73 of Collins Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at her residence.
A daughter of the late John and Ola Mae Brown Simpson, she was born May 1, 1946 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She was retired from Trogdon Furniture Company after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Rock Quarry Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde Simpson, Frank Junior Simpson and Roy Lee Simpson.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Goss Holcomb; two sons and daughter-in-law, Rodney Holcomb and Gary and Dana Holcomb both of Martin; two grandsons, Douglas Holcomb and Cody Holcomb; sister, Eula Mae Adams of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Aaron Elrod and The Reverend Tim Griffin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Walter Fricks, Lee Fricks, lee Simpson, Gary Simpson and Derrick Simpson.
The family will be at the home on Collins Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ollie Mae Simpson Holcomb.
