John Brady Cleveland

Mr. John Brady Cleveland, age 78 of Dubignon Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at his residence.

A son of the late Lewis and Angeline Burton Cleveland, he was born September 7, 1940 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He served with the U.S. Army Reserve for six years and was retired from Patterson Pump. He was of the Baptist faith and taught Sunday School at Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Jamey Cleveland and by number of siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Edwina Sorrells Cleveland of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Derek and Andrea Cleveland and Chad Cleveland both of Toccoa; four grandchildren, Ryan Cleveland, Ben Cleveland, Zayda Cleveland and Zayne Cleveland; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover and Stella Cleveland of Toccoa and Charles and Nancy Cleveland of Cornelia; sister, Winnie Crisp of Baldwin.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 26, 1 O’clock p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ryan Cleveland, Ben Cleveland, Ronnie Sorrells, Michael Sorrells, Bruce Cleveland and Chad Sorrells.

The family will be at the home on Dubignon Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from noon until time to leave for the service.
