Jason Randall Hornsby

Jason Randall Hornsby, age 31, of Buford, GA passed to the gates of heaven the evening of July 19th, 2019 and had a grand reunion with his mother Donna!

He was born November 22, 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Winder where he attended Winder- Barrow High School.

He loved spending time on Lake Lanier, going to the mountains, all watersports, dirt bikes, music & poetry. Jason had dance moves like J. T., and was always telling jokes and making everyone laugh! He helped coach flag football at the Winder YMCA and his children’s football and wrestling teams. In previous years, he owned a successful business in the Cornelia area. 

Jason is survived by his father, Dennis Hornsby; 2 of the greatest blessings on earth, his children, Elijah Hornsby and Ethan Hornsby; brothers, Dee Hornsby and Jarrod Hornsby; sister, LaShae Webb and many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Marie Hornsby; grandparents, Perry and Joyce Hornsby and Myles and Virginia Smith; cousin, Charlton Floyd

He is surely at complete peace now with his mother and enjoying an endless supply of Snickers bars and Yoo-hoo!

Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville from 5 PM until service time on Friday, July 26. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for Elijah and Ethan for their college fund.
