Clara Westbrooks Higgins, age 99, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Higgins; parents, Wiley and Irene Westbrooks; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Karen Hughes Higgins; infant daughter, Debra Kay Higgins; sisters, Christa Bruce, Virginia Westbrooks Pruitt, Ruby Westbrooks Martin; brothers, Kyle Westbrooks, J.W. Westbrooks and Hoy Westbrooks. She is survived by her daughter, Carol and Winton Martin, Flowery Branch, GA; son, Johnny Mack and Sheila Brock Brogdon, Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Julie Higgins, Destin, FL, Tod Brogdon, Flowery Branch, GA, Kyle and Rebecca Brogdon, Hendersonville, TN; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mardell Hosch, Buford, GA, Kathleen Crowe, Lawrenceville, GA, Willie Pugh, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Higgins was born on January 8, 1920 in Suwanee, GA. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Old Suwanee Baptist Church, Buford, GA. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Suwanee Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA.
