Ruby Lee Goss Farmer

Ruby Lee Goss Farmer passed away Friday, July 19, 2019.

A life-long native of Habersham County, Mrs. Farmer was born in Clarkesville on September 12, 1941.  She was the daughter of the late Frank Goss, Sr. and Georgia Lee Nations Goss Sosebee.  Mrs. Farmer was a member of Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her family; she was all about her children.  Mrs. Farmer enjoyed going to church and doing yard work.  She worked in food service at Stoney’s Family Restaurant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farmer is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Lavaughn Farmer, step-father Coy “Pa” Sosebee, brothers Robert Eugene “Gene” Goss, Frank Goss, Jr. and Randolph Goss, sisters Frances Free, Betty Jean Burton, Linda Faye Goss and Mae Jones, and grandson Daniel Bradshaw.

Survivors include sons Randy Farmer of Alto, David Brock of Alto, Larry Farmer of Cornelia and Joey Farmer of Cornelia, daughters Joyce Farmer Marcus of Cornelia and Tina Farmer Martin of Carnesville, as well as 12 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Ruby Lee Goss Farmer, age 77 of Clarkesville, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2019 from the Hillside Chapel with Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow the service in Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
