God set the time for birth: Sylvia Lee Gardner was born on February 5, 1965 in Gainesville, GA and is daughter of Ms. Janice Gardner.
God set the time for learning: She always enjoyed learning new things. Sylvia was inquisitive by nature. She attended East Hall High School, were she ran track, participated in pageants, and other school activities. In her younger years she was an active member of Saint John Baptist Church, were she sang in the choir. After high school, Locket worked for most of her years in the manufacturing industry. Sylvia was a dedicated hard worker.
God set the time for love: Sylvia loved her family! Her smile lit up a room. She leaves her lasting memories to her daughters and one living son: Quinshalia Faulkner, Courtney (Dwight) Rucker Jr ,Corey Harrison, and Tia Gardner; Two Sisters, Havalyn Cantrell, and LamollieGardner. Locket G was the lovely grandmother of 10 very special grandchildren, Tyree Robinson, Jada Rucker, Cameron Cantrell, Ke’Nya Morrow, K’Riya Gardner, Kadence Rucker,Tydrick Gardner, Zayvia, Zora Gardner,and Brea Rucker. 1 niece, Amesha Cantrell and 2 nephews Derrick (Beth) Cantrell, and Kenny Williams and a host of aunts, uncles ,cousins, and many loving family,friends and former co-workers.
God set the time to meet him: “ We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8. God welcomed Sylvia home on July 14, 2019. She joined her son TyderickGardner at the heavenly gates. Locket is also proceeded in death by great-grandparents, Samuel and GertrudeYoung , grandmother, Sylvia Gardner, for whom she was named, and uncle, Kenneth Gardner.
God set the time for Peace and Joy: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. She will continually to be a celebrated, loved, and cherish.
